The World Press Photo multimedia contest is open to online linear and interactive productions that conform to the criteria of the categories. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded in each category.
All entries must include a title, synopsis, complete list of the production team, and the contact details of the production’s spokesperson. Each entry must also include a document showing that at least one of the visual journalists whose photography and/or film is used in the production has professional status.
There is no entry fee.
All winners will be contacted immediately after the results of the contest have been announced (on 24 March 2014) and invited to the World Press Photo Awards Days in Amsterdam 24-25 April 2014. One representative of the team awarded the first prize will be hosted at World Press Photo’s expense, including flight and accommodation.
Each winning team will be recognized with a Golden Eye Award and a certificate. In addition, the team awarded the first prize during the World Press Photo Award Days will receive a cash prize of €1,500.
The material you submit to the 2014 contest should be completed or first published in 2013. You should be the sole copyright holder of the Material, or you have been fully authorized by any other copyright holder(s) in the Material to submit the Material to the contest in the form as it is submitted and to agree to the use of the Material by World Press Photo as envisaged in this declaration.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 15 January, 2014 at 23:59 (Central European Time).
