Bruegel welcomes applications from all areas of economic research for 3 positions as Research Assistant in Macroeconomics and 3 in Microeconomics starting in September/October 2015.
Duties:
Research Assistants work closely with Bruegel Fellows to conduct research in the forms of Policy Papers, Blueprints, Blogs and external publications and to participate in Bruegel’s events.
Bruegel offera a non-renewable, fixed-term contract of one year. All applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics or Financial Economics (or related fields with a major in one of these areas).
General Requirements:
Besides a Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Economics, candidates must possess experience in empirical work and have an interest in applied, policy-orientated research in Bruegel’s areas of specialisation. Technical strengths in quantitative economic methods and econometric software, as well as a good grasp of economic concepts and fluency in written and spoken English are essential. Versatility, international experience, command of further languages and the ability to work as a team-player are desired.
Please note that these positions are not suitable for candidates who have already finished their PhD studies.
