The University of Derby is offering 11 full-time PhD bursary studentship opportunities, to be held in the form of Graduate Teaching Assistantships to work with University’s academics to address a predefined research topic. The studentships will be granted in the form of Graduate Teaching Assistantships which means that, alongside your research, you will be expected to undertake a limited amount of teaching through which you will contribute to the wider University community and have opportunity to develop wider academic skills.
If granted a PhD studentship, subject to satisfactory progress you’ll receive £14,100 per annum (p.a.) for three years, with access to up to £1,000 p.a. for professional development, and your fees will be fully covered at a UK/EU level. If unsuccessful in applying for a studentship, the appointing panel may be in a position to offer otherwise strong applicants a fees only bursary which, subject to satisfactory progress, will cover the cost of full-time Traditional Route PhD fees.
