EIT Health, a consortium of more than 50 core partners (and in addition 90 associate organisations) of leading businesses, research centres and universities from 9 EU countries, has been selected by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) for health and health care. With a total volume of EUR 2,100 million it is one of the largest public funded initiatives for health worldwide.
The EIT Health partnership consists of six co-location centres (CLCs) in London (UK/Ireland), Stockholm (SCAN), Barcelona (ES), Paris (FR), Heidelberg (GER) and Rotterdam (BENE) and the InnoStars cluster.
EIT Health is looking for 2 Coordinators of Education for the BENE colocation (BENE CLC).
Due to the differences in educational systems the Education coordination has been split into 2 separate positions; one responsible for the Netherlands and one responsible for Belgium.
The Coordinators of Education will report to the Director BENE CLC and will be part of a team of 3 coordinators dedicated to Business Creation and Innovation and to Education.
Although the base of the BENE colocation will be located in Rotterdam and regular meetings will take place there, the coordinator locations are virtual. The coordinators are expected to travel on a regular base and pay frequent visits to the various project locations.
Responsibilities
• Accountable for the development, implementation and delivery of the BENE activities within the EIT Health Campus and the achievement of the relevant KPI’s within the annual business plan
• Accountable for all EIT Health entrepreneurship training programmes in which the BENE colocation is involved
• Key role in EIT Health’s strategic and budget planning with regard to the EIT Health Campus
• Support the integration of education activities into all EIT Health projects, including education in entrepreneurship
• Ideation, creation and planning of the EIT Health Education strategy and concrete education projects and activities in close coordination with the CLC director and the Business Creation and Innovation coordinators
• Oversight and coordination of the BENE aspects of the EIT Health alumni network
• Coordinate with his/her respective colleagues across the other CLC’s/InnoStars and at KIC LE level in order to define, create and grow maximum synergies and opportunities for collaboration and for activity portfolio development, as well as to support the joint reporting and monitoring activities, required to fulfil EIT Health objectives
Qualifications
• Health professional with minimally 5 years of work experience;
• Solid experience in coordinating educational programs;
• Solid experience in co-development and co-implementation of Health education strategies in interaction with universities, industry and research institutes;
• Ability to work in a start-up environment and engage a broad array of individuals;
• Experience in coordination of budget management and raising funds;
• A broad and relevant people network in the health sector;
• Team worker with excellent organizational and communication skills that can interact with national partners
• Excellent analytical and project management skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
The following will be a plus for the application:
• Strong experience in planning and execution
• Strong experience in international collaboration
• Academic background in Health is a plus but not a prerequisite
Languages
• Fluent English and Dutch in speech and writing
