Village of European cultures – Call for Volunteers

Open call for Large scale European Voluntary Service Event „ Village of European cultures – Wroclaw European Capital of Culture 2016”

„Village of European cultures – Wroclaw European Capital of Culture 2016” is a 2 month voluntary service that will take place in Poland from 1/06 till 30/07/2016.

Short term EVS (European Voluntary Service) will get together 55 young artists and craftsmen from 33 countries.

Call is open for young people that are :
– from 18 to 30 years old
– interested in art, culture and nature
– living or residing in one of the following countries : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Sweden, United Kingdom, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine

!!! deadline for Applications – 15 of March 2016, 15:00 p.m (Brussels time)

!!! Applicants from certain country should send their applications to the relevant emails (please, take a look at ” contact sector”)

Most of activities will take place at Stacja Wolimierz  (authentic railway station that at the moment functions as an alternative eco-art center).
Also volunteers will participate in activities that will occur in Wroclaw and other towns/ villages near by Wolimierz.

Main tasks of Large-scale EVS „Village of European cultures – Wroclaw European Capital of Culture 2016” :

1. Flow project (one of 4 main art ceremonies of Wroclaw ECC 2016)
2. Village of European Cultures (1 week event organisaed by EVS volunteers)
3. Arranging and organizing the space at Stacja Wolimierz (authentic railway station)
4. International Festival of Cultures at Stacja Wolimierz

PARTICIPATION in Large scale EVS is FREE OF CHARGE.

Food, accommodation and all other project costs will be fully provided and paid by the organizers.
– Volunteers will get 3 meals per day. Food will be tasty, vegetarian/vegan, home made.
– Volunteers will live in Wolimierz, village at Izery mountain foot in Lower Silesia, south-western Poland.
– Volunteers will be accomodated in tents.

Travel costs are reimbursed up to a certain amont of money, which is calculated according to the venue of travel and according to Erasmus + rules
