Prague Summer Schools are seven-days academic programs designed to bring together undergraduate and graduate students of various academic backgrounds from all over the world to learn and enjoy their holidays in a unique academic and cultural environment.
The Summer School on New Development Cooperation aims at bringing in new ideas for development cooperation, raising the discussion on their validity in international and local contexts. Students will have an opportunity to learn about the origins, current concepts and patterns for global development cooperation, its institutional structure and processes, and the future role of global governance. The presentation of local initiatives from Kenya and other parts of the world will inform students about how the global developmental cooperation works in practice. The case studies and the evidence of failures will stimulate a fruitful and challenging discussion on the prospects of inclusive and sustainable globalization.
You will have the opportunity to discuss the reality of international development cooperation with Daniel Ogola, born and educated in Kenya, founder of the Matibabu Foudation, described by CNN reporters as an agent of change!
