Job mission
Under the authority of the Head of Office and the supervision of the Justice and Legal Cooperation Department, Directorate General Human Rights and Rule of Law (DGI) of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the incumbent will carry out multiple assignments to meet the overall and specific objectives of the Project “Strengthening the Capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia”. For this purpose, the incumbent will manage the implementation of the Project activities, working closely with the counterparts and cooperating with other stakeholders to ensure synergies, in compliance with the Council of Europe rules and regulations.
Employment is limited to the duration of the Project which is expected to end on 31 January 2018.

Key activities
The incumbent performs the following key duties in compliance with the Council of Europe’s procedures and guidelines with professionalism, integrity and respect:
- Plans, co-ordinates, implements, delivers and follows-up on project activities in accordance with the Project’s Work Plan, in close coordination with the Project Team and in co-operation with the national partners and stakeholders; assesses progress and suggests adjustments;
- Liaises with the High School of Justice, other national partners and stakeholders, national and international consultants for the purposes of the implementation of the Project and reports back to the Project Coordinator on developments;
- Maintains regular contacts with international stakeholders supporting the High School of Justice and judicial training in Georgia;
- Informs regularly the Head of the Council of Europe Office and the Project Coordinator about the implementation of the Project and co-ordinates work with the Council of Europe Cooperation Programmes in Georgia;
- Prepares Project reports for internal review and complies with all related reporting requirements;
- Organises and follows-up the Project’s Steering Committee meetings; ensures the up-to-date Project communication according to Council of Europe Communication standards;
- Ensures the financial, administrative and procurement compliance in the implementation of the Project’s activities in accordance with the Council of Europe rules and procedures;
- Performs any other task related to the implementation of the project as requested;
- Contributes to the efficient functioning of the Office, in collaboration with the Head of Office, the Deputy Head of Office and the direct project management;
- Undertakes official journeys in connection with the activities described above.
