The Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU) is the European association representing community pharmacists. Today PGEU has 31 national delegations made up of 40 Member Associations. Through its Member Associations, PGEU represents more than 400,000 community pharmacists and 170,000 pharmacies across Europe.
PGEU’s primary role is to promote the role of community pharmacists in the evolving policy and regulatory framework at EU level and to serve as a forum for the exchange of information and best practice among its members.

Candidates should have:
- A relevant third level or professional qualification;
- A good understanding of the health sector, in particular economic, regulatory and professional issues of relevance to community pharmacy in Europe;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the workings of the European Institutions;
- Exceptional strategic, leadership, managerial, communication, presentational and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to win the trust, confidence and respect of PGEU members and other stakeholders;
- Proven experience in negotiating and advocacy in international environments;
- Fluent spoken and written English and good spoken French;
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
