Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of the consultancy is to empower Somali journalists to apply gender sensitivity in their work by developing a curriculum for gender training for practicing journalist in Somalia and train national trainers to be able to deliver this training.
The specific objectives of the consultancy are to:
- To develop a curriculum on gender sensitivity in media based on international standards but tailor-made to the Somali context and adjusted to delivery in various settings.
- To train Somali national trainers to deliver the training and oversee their first training.
Location: Nairobi (with travel to Somalia)
