The Logistics Coordinator will be based in Amman Jordan. He/she will be responsible, under the guidance of the Head of Office and supervision of DG ECHO headquarters, for the logistical issues in the RSO-office. In addition the T/A will also be responsible for providing any logistical support to the ECHO offices in their region of operation and support the implementation of humanitarian aid actions funded or coordinated by DG ECHO in the domain of logistics.
He/she will be required to carry out regular missions in his/her region of operation. Finally, administrative support to the deployment of Civil Protection operations has to be prepared and implemented.
He/she should also be prepared to react to a current or evolving crisis in another country/region following a request by ECHO Brussels.
Qualification requirements:
Language: very good command of English and French.
At least 5 years of experience in logistics management.
Previous experience in European Neighboring countries, Middle East, Central and Southwest Asia will be considered as an asset.
