The IT Specialist provides project management and implementation oversight to the IT infrastructure and especially dedicated hardware and software installations for the new Nuclear Material Laboratory. He/she supports and assists SGAS staff in the utilization of information systems by maintaining and trouble-shooting the dedicated systems related to the network infrastructure, hardware and/or software. He/she coordinates requirements gathering (design phase) and implementation of system extensions and provides appropriate project management for future laboratory-specific development projects. The IT Specialist defines a coherent vision of software development within SGAS and maintains the appropriate IT architecture. Further, he/she coordinates support from the Department of Safeguards (especially SGIS) for SGAS and optimizes usage of staff resources.
