Eligible candidates must be studying for a university degree such as Masters or Ph.D. in public policy, development studies, development economics, sociology, political science or a related field at an accredited university, and have academic and professional experience in issues related to urban policies in developing countries. The position is also open for candidates that have graduated within three years prior to the application date. Written and spoken fluency in Spanish and English is essential. Especially interested in candidates with expertise in organizing and coordinating conference contributions.
While at Cities Alliance, the intern will be asked to:
- assist with editing and formatting of Cities Alliance publications;
- provide assistance in producing a set of publications for dissemination;
- contribute to ongoing tasks related to project management and event organization for the World Urban Forum;
- Assist in setting up a short draft paper, literature review, article or another similar output, on a subject related to the work of the Cities Alliance.

A monthly stipend designed to contribute to the cost of daily expenditures, such as commuting and meals in Brussels will be provided.
