The German Marshall Fund of the United States announces the launch of the third Asmus Policy Entrepreneurs Fellowship. Applicants must be American or European citizens under the age of 40. Entries must include a brief proposal of a project that they believe will address an important foreign or economic policy issue and will advance transatlantic cooperation. The fellowship is in honor of Ronald D. Asmus, GMF Brussels office executive director and director of strategic planning, who dedicated his life to the principles of freedom and passed away on April 30, 2011.
Over the course of the year, Asmus Fellows will utilize existing GMF activities and networks to advance their policy questions and to frame policy alternatives before summarizing their results by the year’s end. Fellows will also be invited to attend several GMF programs, and may be invited to present on a topic and/or participate in or facilitate dialogues at some of these events. GMF will allocate funding per Fellow for fellowship-related expenses.
Application deadline: January 27, 2014
