From 22 to 25 May 2014, elections will be held for the European Parliament.
Because Europe is not just for adults – all of you are Europeans as well – there is something special for you:
You are invited to paint a map of Europe together with children from many other European countries.
Paint or draw a picture showing what you particularly like about your city or your country. You can also paint/draw something you think is typical of your country or city.
A colourful map of Europe from all the many pictures you send will be put together. It will show everyone how you see your country in Europe, what is particularly important to you, what you like the most, and perhaps also what you wish for your country.
How to join in
Paint or draw a picture of your city or country and something you especially like about them or think is typical of them. If you do your picture on paper, you will have to scan it onto a computer or take a photo of it.
Children between 8 and 14 who live in a country belonging to the European Union are all allowed to take part in the project.
Send the pictures by 11 April 2014.
