CMI is seeking conflict resolution professionals to its programme in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia
CMI (Crisis Management Initiative) is an independent, non-governmental organisation that works to resolve conflicts and build sustainable peace across the globe. CMI contributes to conflict resolution through mediation, mediation support, dialogue and capacity-building processes. The organisation has offices in Helsinki and Brussels, as well as field offices in the Middle East and Africa.
CMI has four regional focus areas, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia region, Middle East region, North Africa and Sahel region as well as Sub-Saharan Africa region. CMI is now recruiting new senior staff for its EECCA operations (Transdniestrian conflict settlement, Ukraine, South Caucasus and Afghanistan). Depending on expertise, new recruitments may be considered from project manager to advisor positions. More specifically they are looking for practitioners who as part of a broader team can contribute to:
– Developing, designing and managing CMI’s projects in the region;
– Maintaining, managing and developing relationships with relevant donors, officials, institutions and partner organisations in the EECCA region and abroad; and
– Managing and/or advising on possible new initiatives in the EECCA region, especially related to confidence building and peace process support.
