International Alert are looking for a Russian-speaking Senior Programme Officer to join their dynamic Eurasia team working on the South Caucasus, more specifically, to manage our strand of work on the Georgian-Abkhaz-South Ossetian conflict contexts.
Working with the Caucasus Manager and Eurasia Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for strategy development, implementation and monitoring of projects within this strand
of work. This position manages a well-established and growing portfolio of conflict-specific grants as well as components of regional and thematic grants ensuring overall coherent programme of quality work and you will be expected to ensure overall effectiveness of interventions and explore ways to sustain the programme strand beyond the lifetime of individual grants.
You will have a talent for building and maintaining professional relationships with a diverse range of people and able to interpret and see beyond the surface of what is going on around you, along with having a strong capacity for empathy with an ability to maintain a professional distance, impartiality and objectivity at all times. You will have an ability to keep your eye on the long-term goal, and not give in to frustration at the slow pace of change.
Salary: £37,526 per annum, plus excellent benefits
