International Organization for Migration (IOM) is looking for an Intern – E-learning design
The E-Learning Design Intern will work under the overall responsibility of the Steering Committee on the Development of the Migration Crisis Operational Framework (MCOF) – Project Development and Implementation (PDI) online tool, and the direct supervision of the Staff Development and Learning Officer. He/she will be responsible to provide support in the project to design and implementation of the on-line package to support the implementation of the Migration Crisis Operating Framework (MCOF) and the roll out of the Project Development and Implementation (PDI) modules.
In this capacity, the E-Learning Design Intern will function as a liaison between subject matter experts (SMEs) in the Organization and the external curriculum and technical solution provider.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Develop the business and technical blueprint to coordinate with internal stakeholders and represent the project on the Steering Committee. Establish the project plan and coordinate the delivery of inputs against the defined schedule. Provide regular updates to the Steering Committee and other stakeholders as required.
2. Gather inputs from the SMEs in Headquarters and the field on the content, topics, and themes to be included in the training package, and translate these into business and technical requirements for the external solution provider. Interpret feedback received from the external solution provider to internal SME audiences at IOM.
3. Ensure that the work of the external service provider complies with best practices in terms of technical solutions and career development. Identify and coordinate solutions with internal SMEs in cases of discrepancies between SME requirements and technical feasibility.
4. Advise the SMEs on the best practice in curriculum design and training methodologies and recommend optimal solutions for translating specialist content into learning packages.
5. Participate in the development and maintenance of the content of the MCOF and PDI websites; implement editorial content on the Website and managing daily upkeep of all static pages via HTML, ASP and FTP; liaise with officers responsible for the content edition and publishing; and test and manage new application tools and operating procedures to be used for electronic textual and hypermedia services (e.g. registration form, special scripts, etc).
6. Perform other such duties as may be assigned.
Remuneration: A small monthly stipend will be offered.
