The EU Delegation – Washington, DC is looking for an Executive Assistant – Transport, Energy & Environment
Reporting to the Head of Transport, Energy & Environment
•Provide administrative support to the members of the Transport, Energy & Environment Section;
•Carry out supporting tasks and process administrative documentation, including agenda management, contact making, mission orders and expenses, arranging travel itineraries;
•Provide administrative support for the organisation of regular meetings with EU Member State (EUMS) representatives and liaising with EUMS embassies as appropriate;
•Provide administrative support to missions from Brussels, setting up programmes for visitors including accommodation, logistics, appointments within the US Administration, Congress, etc., and including administrative support to visitors whilst they are in Washington;
•Manage and update the section’s list of contacts in the US administration, Member States and other relevant organisations;
•Treatment of incoming and outgoing reports, faxes and letters in the Delegation information management system, documents by pouch, demarches, photocopying, filing and archiving etc;
•Monitor US Government, Congressional and Media websites for news of proposed legislation, regulations and other issues of interest to the Section;
•Other duties within the Delegation as required, e.g. Front Desk duties on a roster basis.
Competitive package includes a salary range which is dependent on relevant experience, typically starting at $57K (5 years’ experience), $64K(10 years) and with excellent vacation, insurance and other social benefits.
