Translator – Lithuanian translation, Committee of the Regions

The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is looking for a Lithuanian translator

Brief description of main responsibilities:
Translation of documents from English, French and other official languages of the EU into Lithuanian.

Duties:

− Translating, within the time limits laid down, documents that are often complex, covering all the spheres of activity of the European Union, into Lithuanian from at least two other official languages of the EU, including English and French;
− Ensuring a high level of quality (complete, precise and linguistically correct translation preserving the meaning, essence and aim of the original document);
− Revise, control and evaluate translations carried out by colleagues or external agencies;
− Carrying out terminology research, in particular by using the various documentary and terminology databases available and contributing to the terminology work of the Unit and of the Directorate for Translation;
− Taking part in other cross-sector tasks (training activities, development of IT tools, etc.).
