Cedefop is organising a selection procedure to draw up a reserve list of candidates for the position of an Expert in Research and Policy Analysis on Education, Training and Skills
Job Description
Cedefop is looking to recruit an expert with a solid background in research and analysis on (a) vocational education and training, and/or (b) skill needs and the labour market.
The overall responsibility of the jobholder is to support Cedefop in further developing and advancing policy-relevant research and comparative analysis. Depending on the job holder’s profile and expertise, and the Centre’s priorities, s/he will work in the following fields:
- analysis of initial and continuing vocational education and training developments
- analysis of qualification developments and the common EU tools and principles
- analysis of labour market developments and skill needs.
In his/her field of expertise, the tasks and duties of the jobholder will be:

contributing to designing, carrying out and/or steering research and comparative analysis;

drafting high quality, scientifically robust and policy relevant reports and papers, for Cedefop’s key stakeholders, especially the European Commission, Member States and social partners;

promoting and disseminating research outcomes taking into account Cedefop’s main stakeholders and target groups – in particular policy-makers – and the Centre’s communication strategy;

developing and maintaining good working relations with relevant stakeholders, in particular the European Commission, including EU-level working groups, networks, researchers, and other European and international institutions;

implementing effective working methods and maintaining good communication and knowledge-sharing; contributing to the Centre’s work programming and reporting;
-
ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs and good communication;
- contributing to the implementation of procurement, administrative and financial procedures in compliance with the legal and financial regulations applied by Cedefop.
