In particular, under the responsibility of the Head of the Credit, Market and Operational Risk Policy Unit, the Statistician will contribute to the development and maintenance of the new EBA’s databases of supervisory data based on the common EU standards on reporting as well other ad hoc data collections supporting assessments of new regulatory products and reports.

The European Banking Authority is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Statistician. In particular, under the responsibility of the Head of the Credit, Market and Operational Risk Policy Unit, the Statistician will contribute to the development and maintenance of the new EBA’s databases of supervisory data based on the common EU standards on reporting as well other ad hoc data collections supporting assessments of new regulatory products and reports.
Main responsibilities:
• Contributing to the management of the EBA database and to the implementation of end-user IT solutions to support bank analyses
• Contributing to the development of solutions for the collection, storage and use of large databases of supervisory data on EU banks, including data bases on supervisory disclosure data, credit registers, notifications, liquidity, leverage ratio and asset encumbrance data
• Contributing to ad-hoc data collections and ensuring high data quality management
• Cooperating with the EBA’s IT team as well as with the staff in charge of supervisory reporting (particularly FINREP and COREP)
• Supporting and contributing to the EBA’s other regulatory activities
The successful candidates shall be recruited in function group IV. The estimated monthly basic salary is from € 3,170.61.
