Greenpeace are looking for a special person to fill the role of Staff Engagement Advisor within the Global Engagement Team at Greenpeace International. They seek an experienced communicator dedicated to engaging their staff on Greenpeace projects, campaigns, and victories all over the world. A true innovator, this individual will help harness the power of their people to drive and inspire internal participation, discussion, and collaboration in campaign design and other key organisational projects, facilitating creativity through diversity of ideas and in the process increase staff satisfaction and engagement.
At Greenpeace they are known for their ability to engage audiences through creative communications that encourage people to take action to protect our planet. One of the most important audiences of all, however, is their internal audience – their global staff spread across more than 40 countries.
Job description
The ideal candidate will be technically accomplished, social media savvy, and will have demonstrated experience with creating cultural change from within an organization as well as a strong project management background.
A track record (5 years+) of delivering ambitious internal engagement strategies that have contributed to programme development.
A deep understanding of internal audiences and their needs.
Strong communications, presentation and negotiation skills
The relationship skills to build an informal team of internal communicators/engagers across the Greenpeace world who will assist in delivering objectives.
Highly developed project management skills.
Knowledge of a range of communication tools and channels, especially latest intranet and collaboration tools.
Experience in implementing and bringing about significant positive changes in work culture, practices and performance.
Experience in working with multi-cultural senior staff and teams and across borders.
Good analytical skills
Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience in working effectively to tight deadlines and under stressful conditions.
