The KOKUYO DESIGN AWARDS is a competition to attract beautifully functional product designs, taking the best of the best to the actual consumer market.
Registrations and Design submissions will be accepted through July 31, 2015.
Last year, they received a total of 1,442 entries from product designers in more than 29 countries, including Japan (1,144 from Japan; 298 from overseas). This level of interest shows just how much the KOKUYO DESIGN AWARDS has grown as an international product design competition.
This year’s theme is “Beautiful Lifestyle”.
They are accepting designs for stationery products and furniture.
This year, they will accept Designs online as well as by regular mail.

Living with beautifully designed products can bring us incredible joy, especially when they are a part of our daily lives, with products such as furniture and stationery.
Designs which create everyday beauty, inspire with each sight, and delight with each use.
We want this kind of design in our products; not only aesthetically pleasing, but also bringing a bit more beauty into the lives of those who use them.
These sort of fresh and uplifting designs will be used and forever cherished.
