Head of IT Operations Department, Information Technology – EMA

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is looking to recruit a new Head of Information Technology (IT) Operations.

The IT Operations Department of EMA is responsible for operating the IT of EMA that acts as a central hub towards internal EMA users and external users in Member States and industry. Core responsibilities include to run, operate and maintain the IT systems; monitor, support, and diagnose them as well as to ensure the necessary quality control and testing before new systems are being put into production.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Information Management, and will be responsible for all people working for IT Operations, and for all IT Operations services including systems administration, database administration, middleware, security, disaster recovery, maintenance including continuous development of business applications and bespoke systems, quality control and testing, IT service desk, audio/visual systems and unified communications. This is a leadership position that will require highly developed communication skills and significant experience in IT operations. You will be responsible for setting new standards of professionalism within the IT Operations domain and for providing dynamic leadership to underpin future service requirements.
