EUROCITIES is the political platform for major European cities. They network the local governments of over 130 of Europe’s largest cities and 40 partner cities, and engage in dialogue with the European institutions across a wide range of policy areas affecting cities.
EUROCITIES offers a work experience placement in the Projects team under the supervision of the Project Coordinator for Energy, Environment and Mobility in Brussels.
Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:
Supporting the Project Coordinator for Energy and Environment. This involves:

support the organisation of events for the Covenant of Mayors initiative
-
carry out small pieces of research on energy, environment or mobility projects and initiatives in European cities
-
write news, best practices, city profiles for the Covenant of Mayors
-
support communication and exchange activities developed under a mobility project on congestion reduction in cities
-
give general support to the project coordinator
-
occasional receptionist work
Profile:

university degree
-
basic knowledge about environment/energy policies in the EU, the role of local authorities and the EU institutions

excellent English
-
very strong organisational and planning skills

proactive personality

good interpersonal skills for an international environment
