The Active Supporter Network is made up of more than 1,000 volunteers, actively involved in more than 60 campaign networks, distributed throughout the UK. The Network of volunteers is involved in delivering our campaign and outreach programme, primarily through public communication and engagement activities, political and corporate lobbying, fundraising, organising and attending public events and participating in protests and direct actions.
This role consists of two main aspects: firstly, managing the team that supports their Key Activists and the wider Active Supporter Network across the country; secondly, identifying and developing the campaign output of these Networks, ensuring they are innovative, effective and in line with their organisational values and objectives.
They’re looking for someone with significant experience of working with volunteers and is ideally familiar with the Greenpeace Active Supporter Network, Greenpeace campaigning methods, and of delivering campaigns via groups across the country. You will be an extremely effective communicator, have excellent inter-personal skills, a preference for team working and be able to maintain strong, trusting relationships. You will have a good knowledge of digital media, a deep interest in our work and a willingness to work unsociable hours.
