ABOUT EENA
EENA, the European Emergency Number Association, is a Brussels-based NGO set up in 1999 dedicated to promoting high-quality emergency services reached by the number 112 throughout the EU. EENA serves as a discussion platform for emergency services, public authorities, decision makers, researchers, associations and solution providers with a view to improving the emergency response in accordance with citizens’ requirements. EENA is also promoting the establishment of an efficient system for alerting citizens about imminent or developing emergencies.
The EENA memberships include more than 1100 emergency services representatives from over 80 countries world-wide, 70 solution providers, 15 international associations/organisations, more than 180 Members of the European Parliament and 70 researchers.
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
The intern will assist with the association’s advocacy work. More specifically, his/her tasks will include the promotion of the European emergency number 112, liaising with Members of the European Parliament(MEPs), monitoring legislation and developments linked to the association’s area of expertise, and so on. He/she may also be asked to support the EENA team with other tasks (e.g. databases’ updates).
The intern is expected to be highly autonomous and highly reliable.
The internship should start on 31 August 2015 and last for 4 to 6 months. This remains subject to change based on the intern’s availability.

OFFER
The internship is remunerated;
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 6.00 pm.
