The European Youth Parliament (EYP) Armenia announces the 2nd round of the Membership recruitment for the time period 2014/2015.
Do you want to be involved in one of the 250 events organized by the EYP network in more than 36 countries? Do you want to represent your country on the international arena, share cultures with nationals of numerous countries? Or maybe involved as an organizer in the Youth Forums in Armenia and abroad?
By becoming EYP Armenia member you not only open up a world of numerous opportunities, but also get a range of priorities (unlike EYP Armenia Alumni):
- to represent EYP Armenia at different non-EYP sessions, conferences, projects worldwide;
- to be involved in the EYP summits on different EU relevant issues;
- to be eligible to apply for the travel grants by Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs of Republic of Armenia;
- to take part in the trainings targeted at developing of the National Committee and organized by the European Youth Parliament Academy;
- to participate in the EYP sessions in different European countries;
- to add EYP Armenia as your workplace in the CV (volunteering);
- to receive regular e-mails about the EYP and non-EYP events in Europe and the ways to be involved;
- to get the right of 1-free-of-charge participation in the EYP Armenia events.
All the members of the European Youth Parliament – Armenia will also receive an individual, certified membership card with their codes. An annual membership fee makes up 20 Euros or 10.000 AMD. Database of the members is annually updated.
The EYP is a non-partisan and independent educational project which is tailored specifically to the needs of the European and Armenian young citizen. Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe with patronage from the Head of the European Parliament, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, other high representatives in the EU. The EYP encourages independent thinking and socio-political initiative in young people and facilitates the learning of crucial social and professional skills.
The EYP Armenia has been established and recognized as a full member of the European Youth Parliament network in December of 2012. Since then their delegates have taken part in numerous of regional sessions, international forums, and got involved in various projects with the most recent being 1st International EYP Forum in Armenia, EYP BuS, 2nd National Selection Conference, EYP AmAr 2013 and 1st National Selection Conference. Overall, EYP Armenia has implemented 18 projects which involved around 3000 young people, hosted 150 foreign students from Austria, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany, Poland, Georgia, Montenegro, USA, Moldova, Romania, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Ireland, UK, Luxembourg, Egypt, Congo, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Lebanon, Czech Republic, Italy, India, Iran, Norway, Australia, 45 volunteers from Armenia, Georgia, Sweden, Romania, Austria, Czech Republic.
The main activity of the EYP network is implementation of the national conferences (EYP sessions) in the format of the European Parliament with the formation of the respective committees to debate on the EU-Armenia relevant issues resulting in resolutions. Moreover, based on the voting of the jury, 5 to 10 delegates are chosen to participate at the International EYP Session that gathers 300 delegates from all over the Europe, representatives of the EU Commission, European Parliament and other EU institutions. The resolutions adopted at the International EYP Session are then passed to the EU Commission as policy recommendations.
