The Communication coordinator will be responsible for developing innovative initiatives and implementing communication strategies, will play a purposeful, critical and challenging role with respect to both content and the way in which the organization interacts with the outside world.
In addition to ensuring the execution of daily activities such as preparing press releases and maintaining the website and Conectas’ other social media, the coordinator will also implement communication campaigns and maintain dialogue with newspapers and other media organizations that are seeking to give visibility to human rights issues.
The candidate must have at least eight years experience with renowned newspapers, media outlets and / or communications experience within a civil society organization.
In addition the candidate will have team leadership experience and speak Portuguese and English fluently and ideally a third language.
International experience is also desirable as is familiarity with international relations and law.
