ESMA is organising a selection procedure for the post of Communication Officer.
The selection procedure aims in recruiting a suitable candidate in the Senior Management/Communication team.
The Communications Team is responsible for building, enhancing and protection ESMA’s reputation through its communications on ESMA’ work with its stakeholders.
The responsibilities of the Communication Team on behalf of ESMA include:
- promoting the mission and objectives of ESMA to key stakeholder audiences;
- devising and implementing ESMA’s corporate communications strategy;
- managing relationships with key stakeholders/audiences including the media;
- strategic communications advice to senior management and business areas;
- supporting internal communications delivery to staff;
- management of communications channels i.e. intranet, social media and website.
Main duties
Under the responsibility of the Communications Team Leader, the jobholder will contribute to the Communications Team’s daily interaction with key stakeholders and audiences, in particular the media, be responsible for relations with internal business areas on specific topics and supporting ESMA’s corporate communications strategy, in particular:
External Communications:
- Enhancing ESMA’s network of stakeholder contacts, including the media;
- Supporting delivery of the external communications strategy;
- Dealing with press queries, interview, briefings, acting as a spokesperson etc.;
- Drafting press releases, statements, briefings, speeches etc.;
- Supporting the Chair and Executive Director;
- Working with colleagues across ESMA to determine communication priorities;
Internal Communications:
- Supporting delivery of the internal communications strategy;
- Content development for the intranet; and
- Cooperating with colleagues in determining communications priorities.
Monthly salary: 5,794 € at step 1 (minimum 3 years of professional experience after obtaining minimum qualifications) or 6,037 € at step 2 (minimum 6 years of professional experience after obtaining minimum qualifications), plus specific allowances , where applicable
