Job Description
Frontiers is looking for an Editorial Project Manager responsible for the operational running and promotion of Research Topics for all journals at Frontiers, and accountable for meeting Research Topic targets and objectives as identified by senior management.
Reporting to the Editorial Office Manager, the successful candidate for this position will:

Implement initiatives towards the achievement of Research Topics quality and targets

Align priorities with the journal teams and report of journal-specific issues to the program managers

Participate in product development priorities and specifications for Research Topic-specific tools
-
Support promotion and marketing efforts for Research Topics

Contribute to editorial office strategic plans, policies and new initiatives
-
Act as escalation point for issue resolution from the Research Topics team
-
Supervise staff, including workload level and training of new members
Desired Experience

1-3 years of editorial or editing experience

Working knowledge of publishing processes

Advanced science degree is highly beneficial

Project management (including scope, timeline, implementation, reporting)

Staff and resource management (including training and leading junior teams members) with excellent interpersonal skills and mature demeanour

Effective communication skills with excellent written and verbal English language proficiency
