EPSO Competition – Regional security officers and advisers

The European External Action Service is recruiting Regional Security Officers and Regional Security Advisers as contract staff.

As a Regional Security Officer or Adviser, you could be:

• advising on security measures;
• supervising security procedures for people, goods and information;
• implementing measures in the field of crisis management;
• raising awareness about protection issues.

To apply for the Regional Security Officer position (function group III), you should have:

• post-secondary education attested by a diploma;

 or

• secondary education, attested by a diploma and 3 years’ relevant professional experience;

 or

• professional training of an equivalent level in the field of security (in exceptional circumstances and where justified in the interests of the service).

To apply for the Regional Security Adviser position (function group IV), you should have:

• at least 3 years’ completed university studies attested by a diploma;

or

• professional training of an equivalent level in the field of security (in exceptional circumstances and where justified in the interests of the service).

You also need:

• EU citizenship
• a thorough knowledge of an official EU language
• plus a satisfactory knowledge of English, French or German.
