- Operating a telephone switchboard; placing official incoming calls, establishing telephone connections upon request of staff members, taking and delivering messages.
- Obtaining additional information on the identity of persons from the Security Guards who are controlling access of visitors to the building.
- Greeting visitors and supplying general information on the work programme of the Office;
- Supporting in-house meetings with administrative/logistics services;
- Distributing mail correspondence and parcels to addressees;
- Keeping informed on presences/absences (including duty travel, annual leave, attendance at outside meetings) of staff members and answers queries in that respect;
- Providing logistic support for in-house meetings and conferences;
- Updating logs of official correspondence (Note Verbale) and experts contracts, scanning invoices;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Completed secondary education;
- Two years of office experience, including at least one year of experience as a switchboard operator;
- Proficiency in Polish and English, Russian language is an asset;
- Ability to operate modern telephone equipment;
- Excellent communication skills and tact in dealing with people from a variety of national and cultural backgrounds;
- Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is approximately PLN 5.100 OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Poland.
- Social security will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme (current approximate deduction for a staff member is 45 Euro) and OSCE Provident Fund. The Organization contributes an additional amount equivalent to 15% of the employee’s salary to this pension-style fund while the employee contributes 7.5%. Other allowances and benefits are similar to those offered under the United Nations Common System for general services employees.
- Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
