As a Fundraising Data Officer, you will play a key role in helping Greenpeace to grow their fundraising programme.
Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to transform industry and governments, in order to protect our planet and promote peace.
To maintain our independence and enable us to campaign without fear of compromise we never accept corporate or government donations, relying wholly on donations from our individual supporters. As Fundraising Data Officer you will work within our Data, Planning and Insight team and focus primarily on the data processes associated with Greenpeace’s online fundraising and lead generation activity.
You’ll extract and process data from a variety of sources in a timely manner, using quality checking and control measures to ensure data quality and integrity is as high as possible. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Implementing strategies for improving our in-flow of data.
- Maximising the volume, quality and accessibility of data gathered across the organisation in order to optimise the impact of contact with our supporters.
- Liaising with external suppliers and agencies to deliver and receive data (house files, mail and calling files).
- Meeting regularly with fundraising teams to plan and prioritise data needs.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of legal requirements related to data storage and protection.
A methodically minded person, you’ll be passionate about processes and procedures and thrive on continually looking to streamline and improve efficiency. You will have proven experience working with fundraising or marketing data, as well as a broad understanding and interest in fundraising and direct marketing techniques. You will also:
- Be a great communicator, with the ability to convey technical information in a non-technical way.
- Have a high degree of initiative and ability to plan, organise & prioritise own workload.
- Be able to build strong relationships across a wide range of teams and effectively manage relationships with external agencies.
- Have experience working with Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Have a passion and commitment to Greenpeace’s mission.
