The EIF, the European Investment Fund, in the framework of its GRAD programme, is seeking to recruit for its Middle, Information & Back Offices/Mandates Services Division, at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Graduate (GRAD).
Appointment to GRAD positions is for an initial period of 2 years.
Purpose
The GRAD will contribute to the overall deliverables of the reporting unit. He/she will report directly to the Head of the Mandate Reporting Unit and will work in close cooperation with other members of the unit, division, department, other relevant EIF services and external stakeholders.
Accountabilities
The GRAD’s main responsibilities include to:
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual mandate reports covering both EIF’s Equity and Debt business lines;
- Identify, specify, test and validate changes to be implemented in the reporting environment to meet reporting needs;
- Implement reporting controls, processes and procedures to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of reports in compliance with mandates needs;
- Respond to reporting requests, coordinate reporting contributions and collection of feedback to facilitate robust content;
- Implement quality assurance processes to identify, resolve and prevent recurrence of reporting errors;
- Assist in the automation, improvement and standardisation of reports across multiple mandates to optimise operating efficiencies and minimise operational risks;
- Implement corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related subjects;
- Prior experience in and/or good understanding of audit, fund administration, finance or banking role with prior exposure to client reporting functions would be an advantage;
- Knowledge of financial analysis techniques and the interpretation of financial and legal documentation;
- Sound understanding of equity, debt guarantees, securitisation and micro-loans products would be an advantage;
- Experience of reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Business Objects, SAS) is an asset, as well as, a good understanding of data bases and data structures;
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite in particular, Excel and possibly Access;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages, would be an advantage.
- Your prior work experience should be limited to a maximum of two years following graduation, excluding summer jobs and internships
