The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award are currently looking to recruit a Head of Communications

Length of contract: Permanent
Salary: £54,000 – £60,000

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation’s mission is to promote The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, provide young people with the Award, and preserve the quality of the Award worldwide. More than eight million young people from over 140 countries and territories have taken part in the Award.
Their ambition is that every eligible young person aged 14 to 24 in the world will have the opportunity to participate in the Award.
Who they’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have proven experience and evidence of success in a communications role with multiple stakeholder groups, working on a variety of projects simultaneously and developing, and using digital and online channels for communications.
They will also have experience of both writing and editing for different audiences, managing and implementing high profile communications projects and managing relationships with suppliers.
If successful they will be responsible for the promotion of the Foundation, whilst also acting as overarching brand guardian to countries and territories where the Award is operated. They will also be responsible for the overall management and development of the Foundation’s communications plans, supporting internal Foundation teams and ensuring appropriate, consistent and inspiring messaging throughout the diverse network of operators and stakeholders.
