IPFA Europe: Brussels
Infrastructure vs Sustainability: Striking the Balance
Thursday 19th May 2016
Registration 3:30pm
ING and the International Project Finance Association invite you to join us for a seminar focusing on the delivery of infrastructure in a sustainability aware age.
Discussing implementation of sustainability at both a transaction and policy level, a group of industry experts will debate the balance between a sustainable future and delivering real infrastructure investment.
- In a time of both budgetary constraint and pressing infrastructure needs, is infrastructure investment hindered by the sustainability agenda?
- How can the infrastructure sector take advantage of technological innovations in the energy sector, and what financing models are available to fund these latest developments?
- Who is responsible for delivering sustainable infrastructure? Should government regulate, or can the private sector act responsibly without government intervention?
- What challenges have governments experienced in delivering sustainable infrastructure and are there lessons to be learnt?
- Can the private sector exceed sustainability expectations and still profit in a competitive marketplace?
- Has government taken an appropriate lead in implementing sustainability in government procurement, or can more be done
