In 2012 SD launched a new website, a platform to communicate challenges, projects and case studies the teams in UNICEF are facing. The website is used by UNICEF’s country offices, regional offices and headquarters and aims to share the organisation’s work with audiences including private sector, academia, NGO’s and other UN agencies.
Based in Copenhagen, the main purpose of the position is to support the Innovation Unit in the communication of UNICEF’s stories of innovation, in collaboration with specialists based in UNICEF’s HQ and global country offices through existing platforms and social media.
The Innovation Unit at UNICEF Supply Division seek an intern for a six month period starting mid-September, 2014.
The position will report to the Project Assistant (Innovation), Directors Office.
MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the delegated authority and the given organisational set-up, the incumbent may be accountable for all or assigned areas of the following major duties.
1. Co-ordinate, monitor, update and support website content creation with innovation news, projects, challenges and case studies from within the UNICEF Innovation network.
2. Support the implementation of both IU’s communication strategy, including training of staff of communication platform use.
3. Liaise with business units, centres and country offices for the collaborative content creation.
4. Assist the Innovation Unit in any additional tasks.
