The internship position is located in the UNOG Library’s Cultural Activities and Outreach Unit.
The internship will start in mid-March 2015 for a maximum period of 6 months.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five (5) days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the Cultural Activities Unit.
Responsibilities
The internship offers an opportunity to experience event and arts management within the UN context, and to participate in the day-to-day tasks related to the realization of events.
These tasks include:
– Creation of invitations using Indesign software.
– Liaison with publications services to design and print publications (invitations, posters, annual report).
– Contribution to exhibition layout and design.
– Client service, particularly external relations with Member States.
– Promotion of cultural events.
– Logistics (security, maintenance, catering, etc.).
– Assisting with Library Talks organization.
In addition to daily activities, the internship would require completion of several small-scale communications projects, e.g. updating web content, creation of new promotional material.
