The position is located in the Russian Language Unit, Radio Section of the News and Media Division, which produces news and feature stories on multimedia platforms including radio, video, photo and web. The internship is for two months with an opportunity for extension, pending on the needs of the department. The internship is unpaid and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of the Chief of the English Unit, Radio Section.
Responsibilities
The unit is seeking interns interested in gaining professional, hands-on experience with writing for news outlets, as well as radio and multimedia functions, including interviewing, news production, digital audio recording and editing, and social media projects.
Functions will include assisting in the drafting, editing and posting of news stories for various platforms.
The intern may also post content on social media, so knowledge of Social Media platforms – Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube – is an advantage.
