To design an internal communication strategy in close cooperation with the Head of Communication / Chief Spokesperson and to lead the internal communication strategy on a day-to-day basis
Key Accountabilities:
- Design a coherent framework and an implementation plan for an internal comm strategy for the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), a young and dynamic public institution that does not have an internal communication strategy so far
- Design tools to start internal comm at the ESM effectively, to involve staff and to make it an accepted means of communication for the whole organization
- Design criteria against which the internal communication and its effectiveness can be evaluated, reviewed and improved regularly
- Overview consistency of the ESM’s internal communication with the ESM’s mission and the organisation’s core values and with its external communication
- Writing and editing documents understandable by all staff that explain the meaning and the consequences of new internal rules or external constraints
- Be a communication link between ESM staff, senior staff and management
- Offer strategic and practical advice to management on internal communication tasks and help management execute them
- Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of the Communication team
- Foster social engagement within the institution on internal communications
Main interactions with other functions/ external entities
- Close cooperation with the Head of Human Resources and the Head of IT and Operations and their respective teams
- Frequent and regular interaction with ESM staff at all levels in order to have a good understanding of the topics that are important to staff and of all aspects of the ESM as an institution
