British Embassy Sofia is offering a paid internship to disabled people or young people from minority background (such as LGBTI, Roma, Turkish, etc.) The aim of the scheme is to give experience to an excellent candidate and to help break down barriers and challenge stereotypes within the Embassy and in society as a whole.
The intern will have the opportunity to join each of the Embassy’s teams (Political, Administrative, Trade and Investment and Consular Team) for two weeks and gain a better understanding of how the Embassy works. By mutual agreement, the internship could be extended for a longer period of up to 6 months, during which time the intern would work in a chosen team on a specific project.
The Embassy is providing a grant of 340 BGN (gross) per month for daily allowances + 50 BGN for public transport throughout the duration of the internship. They are also offering a free English language course at the British Council and other learning and development opportunities such: as job shadowing, attending meetings with the Ambassador, participating in team projects.
