Junior Communication Officer at Communi-K
Communi-K, a consortium comprising of Serco and Tipik Communication Agency, is pleased to offer a range of positions for multi-lingual professionals based in central Brussels.
LOCATION: Central Brussels;
EDCC – Europe Direct Contact Centre – a general information service provided by the European Commission – the executive body of the European Union responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU. DG Comm is the directorate responsible for all external communications. The requirement is to provide services for the operation of the Europe Direct contact Centre.
EDCC main task is to answer questions from citizens and businesses on the European Union’s activities and policies via telephone, email and other channels.
Communi-K will provide coverage in all 24 official EU languages.
PROFILES
Communication Officers, supported by a comprehensive training programme will deliver the day to day activities related to enquiry handling. Based on the analysis of current statistics around 33% of the work is related to telephone enquiries and over 60% of the work is based on email enquiries.
The team has been organised based on the working profiles, the volumetric data provided, our practical experience in the environment and finally the working hours and linguistic needs of the service.
Communication officers are supported by a team of six Supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communications Officers and Junior Communication Officers are responsible for the handling of enquiries.
- Enquiry handling – accessing the Knowledge Management system to provide appropriate and timely response.
- First Call Resolution.
- Escalation to 2nd Line Support Services.
- Customer service.
- Email and web form handling.
EDUCATION
Master degree – equivalent 5 year degree, EU studies – preferable
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Fluent English + one or several of the following languages;
Polish & German & Czech & German & Dutch & Spanish & Portuguese
SALARY
1800 Euro gross – After trial period it will go up to 2300 Euro gross + benefits.
