Junior Graduate – European Investment Bank (EIB)

eib-logoThe successful candidate will join the Communications Planning, Evaluation and Brand Unit, European Investment Bank.

S/he will support more senior members of the team in developing and coordinating communications around EIB themes, priorities and campaigns across the organisation; evaluate communications impact; and support the organisation in managing EIB Group brands.

Operating Network

Under direct supervision of the Head of Unit; cooperates closely with other Heads of Division and Heads of Unit in the Department.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing and implementation of planning tools across all units in COM and throughout the organisation
  • Contribute to developing instruments and coordination mechanisms ensuring that all EIB departments are involved in developing a coherent corporate narrative and contribute to coordinated corporate communications planning
  • Consolidate input into the planning process within the COM Department, based on analysis and understanding of organisational priorities and environment, including audience identification, stakeholder mapping and partnerships
  • Contribute to monitoring of the ongoing work in the department
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation systems, allowing the EIB to assess the impact of its communications work

Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in communications
  • Sound understanding of the Bank’s mission, strategy, policies and organisation, and of its institutional and political context
  • Experience in strategic communications would be an advantage
  • Experience in working in a complex institution is a plus
  • Excellent drafting skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French, with a good knowledge of the other
  • Your work experience should be limited to a maximum of two years after graduation, excluding summer jobs and internships
