Leave your mark on the nutrition agenda in Arla
Your overall objective is to secure the focus on nutrition in Arla and enable a continuous development of nutritionally balanced products that realise Arla’s long-term health strategy.
You will drive a portfolio of external research projects in collaboration with suppliers or scientists within relevant fields of research. Hereby you seek to fuel their pipeline based on a foundation of valid knowledge for the further development of new products and innovative compositions.
As such, you will identify and liaise with the strategic partners. You will be a vital sparring partner in new product development (NPD) projects, being part of cross-functional teams where you provide the foundation for decisions and support the communication plans with your sound nutritional expertise.
Moreover, you will help diffuse nutrition awareness by educating colleagues across the global organisation. All of this requires that you monitor the landscape of research
and keep yourself updated on recent trends within nutrition.
You can foresee an expert role and a challenging job where you will have an extensive network of highly professional stakeholders in Arla, the industry and various research communities. You should expect approx. 25 travel days per year.
You are an MSc in Human Nutrition or similar and hold a PhD. Your degree is supplemented with 3 years’ experience in the food industry. Experience in NPD project management and knowledge within the area of sport nutrition is an advantage. You have an open mind and the communication skills to get your opinions and ideas across, and manoeuvring in a matrix organisation where you build relations to colleagues comes natural to you. In fact, you thrive working across professional boundaries to achieve success in this position. Lastly, you must have excellent English language skills.
