The European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO) funds relief operations for victims of natural disasters and conflicts outside the European Union. ECHO works with about 200 operational partners, including United Nations agencies, the Red Cross/Crescent movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Aid is channelled impartially, straight to victims, regardless of their race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, nationality or political affiliation.

The ECHO RSO announces the vacant position of an ‘Operational Secretary’ for its Regional Support Office based in Bangkok.
Job Description
The job holder ensures an efficient (operational) support to the assigned team, and an effective coordination with other interlocutors, through appropriate secretarial duties.
Contract
A contract of employment will be concluded for an initial period of one year, subject to a successful completion of a 3-month probation period.
Employment is expected to start in October 2014. The candidate will be placed in Group IV on the ECHO RSO Bangkok’s salary grid. The salary for this position under Group IV is ranging from THB 49,425.00 to THB 96,927.00. To note that:
• the salary to the potential candidate depends on his/her years of relevant experience.
• having a valid work permit and a proper visa to Thailand is the responsibility of the potential candidate who is a non-Thai citizen.
