Project Manager – Water for Three States (WF3S), Islamic Relief Worldwide

Islamic Relief Worldwide is currently recruiting for the position of a Programme Manager based in Sudan. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation of the Islamic Relief intervention “Water for Three States” in Sudan.

The post holder will develop detailed annual work plans for the project for the two targets areas, West El Galabat and East El Galabat in Gadaref, and enforce adherence of all to the plan and subsequently approved amendments. S/he will manage project risks, funding, and ensure keeping all concerned are accurately and promptly informed about the status of project.

The job holder will manage project related security matters and ensure keeping all concerned are accurately and promptly informed about the status of project security at any point in time during the project period. The post holder will develop and maintain processes to ensure exert of high value liaison effort with Government Authorities, the donor, humanitarian community etc. on matters related to the project.

It is essential that the candidate has experience in WASH programme/project management and experience in managing programme/project funded by institutional donors (DFID, EU, etc). The successful candidate must have a high degree of computer literacy. It is mandatory you have English and Arabic language skills to be able to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of this role. Knowing the local language is desirable. The post holder will have expereinece in Budget Management, Monitoring and Evaluation and Risk Management.

Salary: £22,032 per annum
