EU‐Russia Civil Society Forum (CSF) is looking for strong candidates for a combined position of a Public Relations Coordinator (PRC) and Financial Manager (FM) who will be based at the CSF Secretariat. The appointment will be from 1 March 2014 till 31 July 2015, during which period the Secretariat will be based at German‐Russian Exchange (GRE, Deutsch‐Russischer Austausch e.V.) in Berlin.
The EU‐Russia Civil Society Forum, founded in March 2011 and uniting over 120 non‐governmental organisations in the EU and Russia, is a platform for cooperation of civil society organisations from Russia and the EU with the purpose to develop common positions, increase cooperation between civil society organisations, coordinate their advocacy activities, and make their voice stronger in interaction with the general public, governments, and other stakeholders. In particular, CSF promotes people to people exchanges, joint projects and solidarity actions among civil society groups. It aims to influence EU‐Russia relations for the public benefit in a wide range of public and intergovernmental interactions. The CSF is currently financed by the EU and other governmental and private donors.
Job summary:
This position is for 80 per cent of time (32 hours a week) with the PR functions taking about 20 hours a week and FM functions taking 12 hours a week. The Public Relations Coordinator / Financial Manager will be responsible for:
‐ developing and coordinating the Forum’s public relations activities using various communications channels and tools to build and sustain sound relations of the Forum with different stakeholders in Russia and the EU and increase the Forum’s visibility (in coordination with the responsible Consortium members);
‐ managing all financial procedures within the Forum’s project work and between members of the Consortium;
‐ preparing financial reports and audits and contribute to programme reports to the donors.
