State Aid Expert, Brussels – ClientEarth

Location: Brussels, Belgium

We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable, self-motivated individual to join ClientEarth’s Energy Transition Global Challenge. The post holder will make a key contribution towards our efforts to better align the EU State aid framework with EU climate and energy targets. The role involves a mix of legal analysis, and participating in policy development and advocacy work.

The successful candidate will hold a law degree or equivalent, strong knowledge of EU state aid law and practice, and have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.

This role will initially be contracted for an up to 12-month period. Assuming continued funding is provided, and upon satisfactory performance by the post-holder, ClientEarth anticipates renewing the contract for an additional year or offering the post-holder a permanent role.
