The Directorate General Human Resources, Budget and Organisation (DG/H), which comprises five Divisions, is responsible for supporting the effective and efficient use of human and financial resources of the European Central Bank (ECB). This involves the preparation of policies and tools, advice and support to management and staff, operational tasks and the provision of management information.
The main tasks of the Recruitment and Compensation (RCO) Division are to take care of the process for recruiting staff, to manage the ECB’s position plan, employment contracts, staff data, signing powers, salaries and benefits, as well as to develop and administer the ECB’s Retirement Plan and Pension Scheme, and the medical, accident and travel insurance policies.
The RCO Division is also responsible for the human resources-related part of an extensive SAP application environment (ISIS) that supports its main administrative, human resources (HR) and controlling processes. Through the use of the system, new requirements continue to emerge that need to be addressed on a progressive basis. These may relate to specific issues regarding the current implementation or requests for change. In order to develop the environment in a controlled manner, these specific requests need to be prioritised, addressed (e.g. through specific development), tested, accepted and “packaged” into functional releases for eventual deployment.
The selected trainee will be working in the ISIS team within the RCO Division. The ISIS team focuses on implementations in relation to the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) modules and their supporting Employee-Self-Service and Manager-Self-Service scenarios and workflows.
